V and F Sheet Metal find a new home
Thursday, January 3rd, 2013
After more than 20 years in the same small industrial units on Segensworth East industrial estate, Fareham, Hampshire and V and F Sheet Metal finally look to see if we can find a new home to house with all our manufacturing processes under one roof. We were looking for a new manufacturing base that was still in easy reach of Southampton and Portsmouth on the M27 and this location just outside of Fareham was ideal.
- Our new home
Our new manufacturing factory, just needs a little love and attention.
- A factory full of unwanted gear
All this is going to have to come out
- Internal walls
These internal walls will have to come out.
- Massive ovens
Twin gas ovens will need to be removed to give us room for our Trumpf CNC punch presses and sheet material racks.
- Redundant car ramps
All these car ramps will have to go.
- Internal walls
These internal walls will need to be completed to make a dedicated CNC punching area.
The factory we have chosen was very close to our old units had been used by a car and van body repair work shop with painting areas and 2 large gas ovens. The internal layout of the work shops would need to be altered to suit our sheet metal manufacturing plant and the overs removed and oven areas made good. There would need to be some renovating of the building but basically it as perfect for the processes we use and the size of building we needed.
We need to get the unit and make a start on turning it into ours.
