Modern illumination of medieval ceiling
This lighting project was truly a mixture of the old and the new. The aluminium sheet metal wall mounted uplighters shown here were used to illuminate the vaulted ceiling of part of Chichester Cathedral. The sheet metal housings were quite simple with tack welded end plates but the performance comes from the reflector helping to boost the light output and throw it up over the vaulted ceiling.
The lighting effect really lifts the ceiling and makes it seem to float on the stone pillars. As well as aluminium lighting products we are happy to manufacture in mild steel and stainless steel to suit more environmentally challenging applications.
