Sheet metal fixing plate with M10 hank bush
Sheet metal fixing plates are often used inside larger sheet metal enclosures, wooden cabinets or plastic mouldings. They are usually used to help reinforce an anchour point in a material that cannot take a full load without distortion or shearing. In this case this small sheet metal fixing plate is manufactured from Zintec mild steel with a captive M10 threaded bush inserted on one face. We produce many thousands of these plates by simply CNC punching the holes and profile, barrel de-burring and inserting the bush on one of our hydraulic fly presses. The M10 bush is zinc plated and the Zintec sheet metal gives some corrosion protection to this little sheet metal component. The fixing plate is screwed inside a wooden cabinet and acts as a screw point when the cabinet is fixed to the wall or mounting brackets. paint
