Sheet metal 2 dimensional (2D) CNC developed blanks with their CNC punch press tooling.
In this gallery of sheet metal developed 2D component images we have illustrated below just a small selection of the bespoke sheet metal work we work on for our customers in the UK.
These software images were all created from the 3D Radan software models on web page sheet metal 3D software models
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a 304 stainless steel pump reservoir used in the chemical industry. All the radiused features and the 3 holes have be CNC nibbled with standard tooling at no cost to the customer as the volumes of this sheet metal component is quite low. There are no tags to hold these parts within the parent sheet as a stop command is used to remove each part once finished and improving the edge finish.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a powder coated mild steel fume cupboard extraction hood. You can see the large circular hole has been programmed to be CNC punched out using small obround tools. When the order is for just a few sheet metal components then this programming technique is ideal as no special tooling costs are required. If the volumes are larger then a custom banana tool may be used to create the most efficient use of CNC punching time and the best edge finish.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a Zintec light fitting assembly gear tray.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a 316 stainless steel pump control housing.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a stainless steel mounting bracket.
- Sheet metal tooled blank for a mild steel enclosure with cover.
- Sheet metal tooled blank in Radan software of an aluminium LED display board PCB mounting panel.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a galvanised steel air conditioning chamber front face panel.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a fibre optic lilght fitting control box base. You can see the use of a 90 deg R12 corner tool being used on 4 corners. Turning this tool into different angles is no problem with Trumpf CNC punch presses as the punching head can rotate to any angle for every tool used in a CNC punch program.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a 316 stainless steel bracket.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of a 3mm thick steel support bracket for a shop display unit.
- Sheet metal CNC tooled blank of a galvanised steel heating air flow unit. This sheet metal component shows the use of a 30 / 45 degree knife tool being used to notch into a tight corner.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of an aluminium LED front display panel.
- Sheet metal tooled blank of an aluminium channel used on a transmitter arial assembly.
- Sheet metal CNC tooled blank of a spot welded Zintec downlight chassis assembly. You can see the 3 double circles which represent M4 plunged taptite screw holes. The holes shown with a cross in them are M4 tapped holes, all of which can be produced on our Trumpf 3000 CNC punch press within the punching nest before anybody has touched the component.
