In this gallery of sheet metal component images we have illustrated below just a small selection of the bespoke sheet metal CNC punching that we produced on every day in our factory in Fareham, Hampshire. The component parts below include CNC punching the sheet metal materials stainless steel, mild steel, Zintec and aluminium alloys in thicknesses from 0.7 to 5.0mm.
You can see examples of sheet metal components that have had special CNC punch tooling to punch out rectangular cutouts in ventilation grilles, banana tools to produce single hit curved obround slots, blank tools for small punched disks, plunged and tapped features and a vast range of standard CNC tools including squares, rectangles, obround slots and of course circular holes.
You can also see that on some components more complex geometry is achieved in the sheet metal components by CNC punching shapes that are created by overlapping combinations of the standard 2D shapes. Some of the CNC punching would then have been deburred by barrel deburring or edge belt deburring. Some of the sheet metal work that is then powder coated may not have been deburred, this is a judgment that is taken with the customer to decide the best component finish needed in balance with the best component price.
