Sub-contract projects manufactured in 2023 using a wide variety of sheet metal materials
Sub-contract CNC punching in 2023
We use CNC punching for so many different projects. CNC punching stainless steel brackets. CNC punched aluminium electronics front panels. Sub-contract mild steel housings with CNC punch dimples, ventilation louvres and formed stand-off dimples. Here we have simple gear trays for light fittings CNC punched from 0.9mm zintec sheet. Such an efficient way of using material with little waste.
Sub-contract CNC bending in 2023
Here’s a small aluminium sub-contract project. CNC punched and CNC bent in batches of 1000 at a time. Barrel deburred to remove any sharp edges. Quick production for the bending was carried out on one of our 3 Trumpf 7036 CNC press brakes.
Sub-contract laser cutting and CNC bending in 2023
These parts are on the thicker end of the work we take on. 6mm mild steel brackets. Laser cut from steel using oxygen as the cutting gas. There are often several variants manufactured together adding up to many hundreds of brackets in a run. You can see them stacked up here in from of our 100 ton 3M Safan CNC press brake. This machine is great of sub-contract projects due to it’s speed of programming and tool setting. It shares the same tooling as our Trumpf 7036 CNC press brakes. This makes it easy to run a large production run over several machines when needed.
