The images above show all the stages in bending up a 0.9mm thick mild steel sheet metal box. The sequence of bends is programmed into the CNC press brake to control bend length and bend angle, the correct top and bottom tooling is loaded into the press brake and then the correct bend sequence is followed to achieve the final folded box. This particular machine is an Edwards Pearson PR3 but the same process is used by any of the CNC press brakes we have to produce folded sheet metal components.
