Laser cutting stainless steel
Sheet metal fabricators work with a wide range of materials. The types of material fabricated split into 2 camps, ferrous and non-ferrous. So that’s materials that are iron based and those that are iron fee. The types of materials can include simple mild steel along with treated steels such as Zintec and galvanised steel. More exotic stainless steels such as 304, 316, 403 and 3CR12 can be worked. They come in standard (2B) mild finish, bright annealed or grained finishes. Aluminium alloys such as 1050A and 5251 are often stocked.
More unusual materials such as tin plate, spring stainless, copper, brass and lighting reflector materials and be used to fabricate components. For exact details of the correct materials to specify in your design and the thicknesses available it’s always worth a chat first to be sure your design can be fabricated.
Aluminium sheet metal brackets
Sheet metal fabricators use a diverse range of fabrication equipment. Whether it’s laser cutting thin to thick ferrous and non-ferrous materials. CNC punching standard sheets. CNC folding simple to very complex sheet metal components and assemblies.
