Sheet metal production of mild steel brackets
When looking at sheet metal production I’m spoilt for choice in our factory. Having a wide range of sheet metal manufacturing machines running on all sorts of projects where do I start?
I have selected 2 projects at random to look at today. They both show the versatility of sheet metal production. As we are purely sub-contractors we have to turn our hand to all sorts of customer’s requirements. It may be supporting people with product development and small batch work. Special one off projects or adaptions of standard parts. Higher volumes of sheet metal production and call offs. You name it and we have done it.
If you have a moment you can can take a look at our Pinterest Boards with hundreds of sheet metal work examples.
Sheet metal production assemblies
The 2 projects illustrated here are produced from mild steel and Zintec. For those who are not sure, zintec is simply a zinc coated mild steel sheet. It comes direct to us with the zinc coating in place, maximum sheet thickness is 3mm. It can be laser cut and CNC punched and is great for folding. It’s great for products that don’t need to be cosmetically perfect such as the back of electronics equipment, inside light fittings, air conditioning equipment etc. If you need it to be painted, not a problem and it works as a great primer on the sheet.
We are employing CNC punching, edge de-burring, CNC bending and pop riveting techniques to produce the parts and assemblies.
With 35 years of sheet metal production experience there’s not much we can’t turn our hand to. Take a look at our website in more detail and you will find hundreds of examples of past work. Looking for ideas for your next design? Ask us and we will be happy to help. Send us a couple of drawings and again we will take a look, offer suggestions to save you money where we can.
